How's it going? I am Rebecca Zhang, a 20 years old student studying Media and Communication in the University of Leicester.
I was born in Hong Kong but I spent 8 years living in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
I am a huge anime fan, unashamed otaku and crazy Japan-crave (sushi, udon, ramen, Japanese drama, Japanese, the "すみません”[sumimasen] and Yamashita Tomohisa).
Because of my kind-of-nomadic-childhood, I speak Cantonese, Mandarin, English, Japanese and super beginner French [Comment ça va? ;;]. I am currently trying to learn more languages so I can engage into more culture!
Though I don't own a DSLR, but I love to take pictures with my Nexus 5, Smena 8m and lomography konstruktor that my friend Nicole gave me for birthday. And if you can't tell from my photo album, I have a "shoe photo" obsession. I think our shoes are really good at telling people the journeys they walked.
During the last two years of high school, I worked on several film projects. I still have a lot to discover! So I am very excited to explore for any opportunity (to use a really cheesy and cliche term) "to broaden my horrizon".
In the future, I am thinking of going into the advertising industry. Unlike films, people are sort of forced to watch advertising. But if these short clips can encourage people (while set out its marketing purpose), how incredible would that be?
